  • Sendai as a comfortable city

Sendai is not too hot in summer but not too cold in winter. It has the amenities of a large city without the crowds and urban sprawl. Sendai has always been a comfortable city to live in, particularly since everything is within cycling distance. Rental prices and the cost of goods are lower than in larger cities in Japan and it is a pleasant, comfortable and convenient place to live even for those who are studying in Japan for the first time.

Effective classes based on your level

In our system, each student in a class is carefully taken care of by their class teacher. We regularly run achievement tests and reorganise classes so that our students are always placed in a class that best meets their needs.

Education for students from countries that don't use kanji

Since there are a lot of students from countries that don't use kanji, we divide our kanji classes into students from countries that use kanji and students from that don't use kanji. In addition, our students enjoy learning kanji at their own pace through calligraphy classes, our school's original kanji test and so on.

Classes aim to help students continue on to university

  • We have detailed counseling available for students who wish to continue their studies at university (both bachelor's and master's degrees), as well as technical colleges. There are also well-designed courses for the EJU and the JLPT.

Life support and mental care

Our affable staff support our international students outside of the classroom as well, offering help such as arranging an apartment or dormitory room, helping with obtaining part-time jobs and visas, offering assistance in times of illness or injury and with other aspects of living in Japan. We make a strong effort to support the mental health of our students, offering advice and counseling to help them cope with anxieties they may be experiencing.

Insurance for illness and accidents

Since our students join the National Health Insurance system and we make sure they have accident coverage, our students do not face heavy costs in times of illness, injury and accidents.
