- How much does it cost to live in Sendai?
About \50,000 to \60,000 a month. If you save, it can be cheaper. Living cost is about 2/3 of Tokyo.
- What should I do if I got sick?
Entering our school, you must join the National Health Insurance, and you only need to pay 30% of your medical expenses. The insurance is about \12,000 par year.
In addition, you must join Japanese Language School Students' Accident compensation System. The insurance cost is \13,780 per year. This insurance covers the last 30% of the medical expenses which is not covered by National Health Insurance. It means that you can receive medical treatment for no expense of your own. (There is some cases not covered by the insurance.)
- How can I look for an apartment?
Our staff will show you cheep apartments near the school when you enter.
- Are we allowed to do part-time jobs?
Students may have part-time jobs within 4 hours a day by permission of the Immigration Bureau..
- What is "Certificate examination"?
It is a Japanese language proficiency test carried out in December every year.
We organize courses for the exam and prepare for that earlier.
- what is EJU?
It is a test carried out in June and November every year, which is necessary for students studying abroad at one’s own expense to enter a Japanese University or junior college. It contains Japanese, mathematics, social studies, and science at the level of entrance exam. We offer university course and short intensive course.
